Our outreach offer is specifically designed for each service user accessing support to provide a truly limitless approach to care. Outreach is our most common support offer type with almost 80% of our service users enjoying some form of community outreach as part of their tailored package.
All our outreach activities are focussed on achieving positive outcomes for the people we support, including greater independence, confidence and self-esteem.
Whilst on support, service users are assigned their own 1:1 or 2:1 staff team, allowing flexibility and avoids the ‘follow the crowd’ approach that some care providers implement.
This support type might include:
- Developing and maintaining life skills
- Help with finances and budgeting
- Supporting people to access college, or voluntary / paid work
- Supporting people to use public transport
- Accessing community-based activities such as attending clubs
- Personal care
Frequently Asked Questions
We use direct payments for funding support, can we still use your services?
Yes, you can. Even though most of our service users are referred directly to us from the Lancashire County Council we are still able to onboard families who fund their support via direct payment. Invoices are sent directly to you each month instead of to the local authroity.
How long does it take to onboard a new family?
From the moment you get in touch, we aim to onboard and have your support package up and running within 14 days. On rare occasions where hiring of new staff might be required this can delay the process, however, this will be discussed in detail in your assessment meeting.
What are your charges for support?
Every support package is different and not everyone is on direct payments, therefore funding costs might not apply to you as they are already set with the council, if you are paying via direct payment then every package of support is different and costs can vary. If you would like to find out more please submit your referral today.
Are the support staff experienced?
All our staff have 2+ years of experience in social care here at EMPWR Care. We provide CPD-certified training in-house along with tailored face-to-face training on an annual basis, giving all parents peace of mind knowing their children are in safe hands.
