Emergency Crisis Care

At Mind & Beyond, we strive to provide an efficient, reliable emergency crisis care programme that families can rely on in their time of need.

We have a specified emergency crisis bed at our short break respite facility in Accrington, allowing families an immediate overnight placement if required for up to four weeks stay and can provide outreach and domiciliary care on a short time period turnaround also to support family needs.

Our service users who are at higher risk of emergency referral have contingency planning in place in the event of their use, but we also understand that not every circumstance or service user can foresee the need for these hours, so we have a 24/7 contact system in place for parents, carers and professionals to request placement.

To set up your contingency plan or request an emergency placement as an existing service user, please contact your social worker and Care Co-Ordinator or as a new service user, use the referral page or contact your social worker.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reguardless of if you use our services already or not we can help. We hold a room open at all times to accomidate an emergency placement, if you need short term emergency care for someone please get in touch as soon as possible.

Costs vary depending on the needs of the service user, wheather you require overnight support or just day time support. All of this can be dicussed at the time of your emergency assessment which will happen within a couple of hours of the request being submitted.

We aim to provide support the same day depending on the time of receiving the emergency support request, if we cant provide it the same day for what ever reason we will always aim to provide support within the first 24 hours.
